Several core members of the squad are part of the camp, including Yuzvendra Chahal, Shashank Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Nehal Wadhera, Harpreet Brar, Pyla Avinash, Vishal Nishad, Priyansh Arya, Pravin Dubey and Yash Thakur. The focus during the week-long programme is on fitness, match simulations and strengthening team chemistry ahead of the new season.

This Abu Dhabi camp follows a productive pre-season outing in Udaipur held from January 16 to 20, where both senior pros and young players trained together. The back-to-back camps are aimed at helping the squad settle early and build cohesion before competitive action begins. Led by Shreyas Iyer, Punjab Kings are coming off one of their strongest IPL campaigns. They finished runners-up in the 2025 season, narrowly losing the final to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who clinched their maiden IPL title with a six-run victory. Punjab topped the league table during the group stage with 19 points from 14 matches, underlining their consistency across the season. Iyer led from the front with the bat, amassing 604 runs, while Prabhsimran Singh chipped in with 549 runs. Young batter Priyansh Arya also impressed, finishing with 475 runs. In the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh was Punjab’s standout performer, claiming 21 wickets. His tally placed him fifth among the leading wicket-takers of the season. With unfinished business from last year, Punjab Kings will be hoping their early preparation pays dividends as they chase their first IPL title in the upcoming edition.
