Tata Punch EV facelift launch on this date: Changes explained
Tata Motors has unveiled the refreshed Tata Punch EV ahead of its official launch on February 20, 2026. This marks the first facelift for the model since its 2023 debut, bringing subtle design updates, a new colour option, and a few other enhancements. Pre-bookings for the EV are expected to begin soon, with deliveries scheduled to begin right after launch. As for pricing, the Punch EV facelift is expected to come in at a mild premium over the outgoing model, and is expected to be priced from Rs 10.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The Punch EV facelift will continue to rival the Citroen eC3.The most noticeable changes are at the front. The updated Punch EV does away with the black strip that earlier ran between the headlamps, opting instead for a neater, sealed-off grille area that sharpens its overall look. The daytime running lamps are now joined by a full-width LED light strip, and the lower section of the front bumper has been subtly revised to enhance the SUV’s contemporary appeal.
The upcoming EV also gets newly designed aero-focused alloy wheels which will likely measure 195/60 R16. Adding to the visual updates is a new body colour inspired by the Harrier’s Sunlit Yellow, which will be offered with a contrasting black roof. While the rear design is yet to be officially revealed, the electric SUV is likely to get connected LED tail-lamps, in line with the petrol-powered Punch. Other highlights will include a charging port at the front, skid plates on both ends, an integrated spoiler, a shark fin antenna and more. Moving inside, the overall layout will remain the same but will get minor tweaks as seen in the ICE model. The e-SUV is expected to get a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a new UI. It continues to get other features such as a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, an auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting, and connected car tech. The Punch EV is expected to carry forward the same battery pack options – Standard and Long Range. The standard gets a 25kWh battery with 315km of MIDC range and the LR variant gets a 35kWh battery with 421km of MIDC range. The Long Range variants put out 122hp of power and 190 Nm of torque, and the standard variants put out 82hp of power and 114Nm torque. Tata claims that the Long Range variants can sprint from 0-100kph in under 9.5 seconds and the standard models take 13.5 seconds. It will continue to get a 3.3kW wall box charger and a 7.2kW fast charger. The Punch EV will also support DC fast charging and Tata claims it can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 56 minutes using a 50kW fast charger.
