UBSE scrutiny window opens for Classes 10th and 12th: Check complete details here

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education has issued the scrutiny notification for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations 2026, a day after announcing the results on April 25. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can now apply for rechecking or obtain photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets.The board clarified that the scrutiny process will allow candidates to verify their marks, including checking for totalling errors or unmarked answers. Students opting for photocopies will be able to review their answer scripts for further clarity on evaluation.According to the official notice signed by Secretary Vinod Prasad Simalti, the entire application process has been made online.

30-day window for submission

The board has set a strict timeline for applications. The scrutiny window has opened immediately after the result declaration and will remain active for 30 days. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. Students have been advised to complete the process within the stipulated period to avoid disqualification.

Fee fixed for scrutiny and answer sheet copies

UBSE has prescribed a fee structure for both services. Candidates will have to pay ₹100 per subject for scrutiny and ₹400 per subject to obtain a photocopy of their answer sheet. The fee must be deposited through an e-challan at a State Treasury or State Bank of India branch under the specified account head for board examination fees.

Students applying for scrutiny or photocopy of answer sheets through the Uttarakhand Board of School Education can follow these steps:

  • Go to the official website: www.ubse.uk.gov.in
  • Click on the “Board Examination” section on the homepage
  • Select the link for “Application for Scrutiny/Photocopy”
  • Fill in the required details, including roll number and subjects
  • Generate the e-challan for the applicable fee
  • Deposit the fee at a State Treasury or State Bank of India branch
  • Scan and upload the e-challan receipt as proof of payment
  • Review the application form carefully and submit it online
